Isn’t it amazing how soothing the presence of a baby is - that wee warm weight and breathing and heartbeat? I wonder if that is why I sigh so deeply when a kitty settles herself on my body at night - that deep sigh of everything is as it should be. I love how we humans keep having babies even as life grows more uncertain. It makes me so want our earth-home to manage to survive in some kind of peaceful and livable state for them. I consider Chris and my new electric car a kind of prayer that our small fallible efforts will be enough …
